Weird display problems with X60, X6 and Kubuntu 10.10

Hi,

I've got dual boot on my X60 with Kubuntu, problem I have is that the mouse will not go across to the laptop screen (VGA is to the left of the laptop. The resolution is good and the display is on both screens but I cannot get across to the laptopscreen - can anyone give me any pointers (PS I'm a noob to Linux)
