Jolicloud on a T60

#1 Post by flarts » Fri Mar 18, 2011 10:59 am

Anyone installed Jolicloud (or JoliOS as it is now) on a T60 as a dual boot with WinXP Pro?

I was hoping to get some feedback before I try it as my T60 is only used for recording/mixing music so I don't like to mess with it unless I'm confident of success... far too much equipment is connected in an "it's all working, don't breath" sort of way.

It's not usually connected to the web when I use it for recording (so no virus checkers/firewalls etc) but being able to boot up quickly in Jolicloud to check mail etc would be useful.

I tested the idea on an old Acer I have... and it just stuck it's tongue out and turned off. I hate that laptop. I'm beginning to think it knows.

Cheers.

I tried Jolli on a X31.
I hated it and so did the 9 year old. We were looking for s gOS "like" interface, and Jolli, while similar, did not function quite as planned. Keep in mind we only really fiddled with it for 3 or 4 days.
Ended up with Macbuntu and really like it. Kid also likes it. I think the wife may be leaning towards it also.
