Mint users - have you tried Pepperrmint ?
I've been toying with Peppermint for the past couple of days and just wanted to find out what opinions of other Mint/Peppermint users were...go for it...

Hmm, don't quite know which poll option to choose. I've really only "tried" Mint, never really installed and used it. Well have installed, but didn't use it for any length of time. With Peppermint, I've never gone beyond the live CD.
I used CrunchBang daily for six or eight months last year, and really liked it. And I'm even more drawn to #! now that it's Debian based instead of built on Ubuntu. Got kind of used to openbox with #!, so that lead me to wanting to take a look at another openbox desktop. And for some reason that I don't remember right now, I wanted some built on Ubuntu, but lighter and faster, so took a quick look at Peppermint. But really need an OS that would run totally in RAM, so went back to Puppy for now. One of these days, I'm going to give Peppermint another look, but at the moment I don't have a good reason to.
So, George, what lead you to Peppermint? What do you like about it?

Tried Peppermint today for the first time. I booted up the CD on my W510, it did not load the firmware for the Intel 6250 WiFi card, so I gave up for today. It looks OK I suppose. I have a general rule for Linux Distros...if they make me work for my first network connection they generally get round filed
. Also, I am not a big cloud/social networking guy, so most of those online apps don't appeal to me. In other words I am not impressed by an app that gives me twitter and facebook on the same screen...could care less really. Not to mention that I absolutely loath web-based Gmail or Hotmail.

Nothing in particular got me there...I've been playing with various distros for years, looking for a "perfect" fit. It feels pretty light, and I like the way it looks. That's about it...apart from the name itself...So, George, what lead you to Peppermint? What do you like about it?
