Audio port on docking station does not work

Hello!
Does anybody have any tips on how to activate the audio port on my docking station?
I have a Thinkpad T410 and I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
Sound is working fine from the laptop audio port.

I started fiddling around with alsamixer, and all of the sudden it started working.
