R&R unable to restore my windows/hard disk

Hi,

IBM T42

Thanks to Pc-doctor 5.0 and my old company which deleted my
backup I have to resinstall my windows.

I've logged into predestkop area (access ibm) when booting,
and tried both:

restore my c:\partition only
restore hard disk

Both result with "restore failed" message

There are 2 additional partitions on my 40gb disk for linux,
but I was booting linux from my windows (edited boot.ini and 512kb of first linux partition), so boot loader is untouched.

Does the problem relate to these 2 partitions ?

I've removed both partitions leaving hda1 (NTFS, winxp) &
hda3 (fat 32 Hidden predesktop area).

Still occuring error.

Are there hda1&hda3 on your t42 too ?
It' s 40GB disk.

Support says they can send me the recovery cd set for 60 PLN (~20 USD) and that I should get it in 3 weeks.

I can't wait so long!, Lenovo/IBM - I hate you!
