Any free partition creating/merging software?
Any free partition creating/merging software?
I just cloned my X31 40GB harddisk to a new 60GB one. Although I did make a single partition of 60GB on the new harddisk before the cloning process, after the process there is only a single 40GB partition on my new harddisk.
Is there any freeware that can help me free up the remaining 20GB space on my harddisk and merge it into the partition it currently has, without damaging the files? I know partition magin can do that as I used it years ago, but I don't have that software now and don't want to buy the software to used it once in a few years...

I would recommend gParted. Its a nice and clean program based on the Linux partition editor but it can resize NTFS disks as well.
Download it and burn it to a disc then reboot with the disc in the machine and you will be able to reclaim the space. There is a guide to using it on Lifehacker
