International Warraty in Europe (Portugal)
International Warraty in Europe (Portugal)
Greetings.
Just bought a Thinkpad from the USA. The problem's that I live in Portugal (Europe).
Is the warranty still effective there? In Lenovo's site they say that International warranty is just for USA, Australia and some Asian countries...
MOD EDIT: Moved to appropriate forum.

If the machine is not listed on the IWS page for your country, then there is no chance it's covered. Even if it were listed, you'd have to double check with the servicing country to make sure. Lately there seems to be some confusion with the IWS rules as they apply to US bought machines.

An alternative would be to attempt to obtain service under IWS in a neighboring country listed for the machine in question.
