By default, the .ini has the program set to "Active=0" which means it just takes an look at your machine, but does not change anything.tnn2000 wrote:Hi, I've tried tpfancontrol_v018b. Can't control the fans...

To enable changes set it to "Active 1".

True, it may cause damage with unreasonable settings, but used properly it's a lifesaver for many of us. The author of the software provides ample warning of the potential for serious damage. Having said that, I've never heard of a machine that was permanently damaged from using this software; rather, I've heard of more than a few that have prevented damage by using it.
