This is to reiterate positive feedback for ajkula66, who purchased a hard drive from me. Prompt communication and payment, and he has my highest recommendation as a buyer (and seller).

Thanks, George!

Best,

I have been meaning to write this for a while...

I have had EXCELLENT transactions with the following forum members:

BobA
- brought an R50p from him. An excellent seller, very fair and quite meticulous in his product description and testing!

thinkpadlover07 - brought a near-mint NMB keyboard from him.

ajkula66 - sold him my old, (not so mint) NMB keyboard :) - for a low price of course!. A pleasure to deal with - almost effortless! Thank you George

Harryc - brought an R50p from him. The machine was superbly packaged and in great shape - I'm using it to write this. Thanks Harry.
Z61t - 9440-ACU, R50p - 1832-NU1 (revived with a T42p motherboard), R50p - 1832-23U, iSeries 1200 1161-91J (still alive)

I bought a wonderful R51 for my 82-year-old Mother-in-Law last week from HarryC. I'd been mostly away from this forum for years now, but I knew when I wanted a Thinkpad that I'd rather buy from a member in good standing here than from an auction-type website. Not only was it better than expected but Harry even refunded a few dollars when the postage wasn't as much as expected.

I can recommend forum member Bookworm as a good buyer. Paid via money order, which I was nervous about but all was well that ended well. Would gladly take his money again any time!

Not actual a trade but..

#1518 Post by middleofsweden » Tue May 05, 2009 12:49 pm

RealBlackStuff helped me in the most generous and unselfish way to get my hands of two device carriers for the ultrabay+ slot.

I dont know if anyone here in Sweden has tried to get hold on one of them but they are extremely rare.

I have only found them in one US webshop, for sale at a real bargain price. The catch was that the online shop was nearly robbing customers for international shipping (usps didnt applied to my location for some odd reason).

RealBlackStuff helped me by ordering the carriers to himself, then repacked them and sent them to me in an USPS flatrate box (the shipping cost for that flatrate box was about 1/10 of what the shop asked for).

Once again.. Thank you so very much RBS!!

Met up with Ray (rkawakami) yesterday to swap some parts. He's as nice to talk to in person as he is here in the forums. Oh, and the parts were exactly what I needed too. :D

Had some smooth transactions (great communication, fast shipping, excellent value for money) with:
- harryc for a T60 battery
- underclocker for a T60 keybaord
Perfect price, fast shipping, well packed as is customary with these well-respected forum members, Thanks guys!
And last but not least:
- wackydan for selling me an absolutely immaculate T60 with only a few (announced) parts missing!
It is a thing of beauty, it gets 10.5 on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best! Thanks Dan!
This was the deal, NO, STEAL of the century!
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

Funny you should mention that Ray. A bunch of us (ajkula66, Brad, Johan(!), Pianowizard, and alltpedout) actually met for lunch in NYC this past Wednesday. There was a mention that it would be cool to have a regional gathering if there were enough people interested. But it was just fun to put a face to the cyber-names here.

Maybe you guys can have a TUG meeting of sorts out in CA. for those living close by or others willing to travel out west! It would certainly give me an excuse to hang out there!
