$69.95 for a slightly used one, which looked as-new, from eBayer Anamtel.
Just saw it NEW for $79.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Pantech-C520-Br ... 0403181644

I got the Palm Pre with Sprint, best darn phone I've used ever! Runs Linux, 'hacking it' involves enabling developer mode and it's got a capacitive touch screen. If you get one, check out www.precentral.net for homebrew apps too, so amazed with this phone.

For myself I'm leaning toward the economy Pre.

200 after rebate(Edit: I think it's down to 150 now). The Pre, if you aren't willing to go into homebrew yet or tinker, isn't amazing as far as phones go, well the phone is amazing, it's just the 'official' Palm app catalog is very anemic compared to the homebrew offerings. "Hacking" the phone though, is just enabling developer mode and installing Palm's SDK(Which is free!) and using their tools to log in and install whatever packages you want via ipkg.emeraldgirl08 wrote:For myself I'm leaning toward the economy Pre.

I have a lot of interest in the Pre, though have yet to get my hands on a working model. I don't even know how many stores I've tried, all have the dummy model. How are they supposed to sell the thing without a working model when the big thing about it is the OS? Though, the Palm doesn't stand a chance of me buying it unless it comes in a GSM version.

I just re-did my phone contract with A&T today and I will be getting a Samsung Blackjack II as my new phone to replace my Razr V1. I've been lusting over this phone for about a year and I am really excited about it. It runs Windows Mobile, has a full qwerty keyboard and looks great.

Except mine is the black version.
I can't wait for it to arrive.

Re: What mobilephone do you have? [pictures inside]
I recently moved from a Samsung Blackjack II to an iPhone 3G (8GB).
I really liked the BJ2 (you will enjoy yours, Temetka!) and was pretty much everything I wanted in a phone. One of the few phones where every feature listed on the box worked first time and without fuss.
Unfortunately my house is a worst-case scenario when it comes to mobile reception - metal roof, in a river valley, lots of large trees around - and as such only very few mobile phones are able to get reception indoors. The BJ2 could get a signal, but not well enough to hold a call.. the crappy Sony C702 phone I got free from my provider works perfectly, which gave me hope that somewhere there'd be a high-feature phone that worked. A friend's iPhone 2G worked more or less fine, so that gave me confidence to take a gamble and buy a secondhand 3G iPhone, hoping the reception is as good as the older version. And it is
I'm quite happy with it; as someone who far prefers tactile keyboards I've gotten reasonably used to the on-screen keyboard. One thing I like is that the IMAP mail client is brilliantly implemented: you can choose where on the IMAP server to store drafts/sent items/etc. so everything syncs up nicely. I tend to use my phone as an email and internet tablet as much as, if not more than voice calls, and for this the iPhone works well. The switch from 3G to Wi-Fi (as access points become available) is seamless, too.
Only thing now is to work out how to get the calendar to play nice with Novell Groupwise at work.
Only bugbears I have is that it doesn't show up as a USB mass storage device, and that you must use iTunes to connect to it. (Thanks Steve!

I have an iPod touch that I use for e-mail and messaging also as a PDA and e-reader and so on. Some of Apple's built in apps are awesome. Enjoy your iPhone.
I've had my new Samsung for about 2 weeks now and it's great. It is everything I was hoping for and more. I can text very quickly on the keyboard.
Now I am trying to figure how to upgrade it from WM 6.1 to WM 6.5.

Re: What mobilephone do you have? [pictures inside]
Am currently waiting delivery of a Nokia 6700 as part of a free upgrade from my current mobile network provider - It has a few Hi-performance(?) feature's such as a 5MP LED flash camera & GPS (which I will try-out to prove it's functionality and credibility), but will take full advantage of the HSDPA/HSUPA modem for quick email access on the move.
I'm old-skool and prefer a slim "Classic" monoblock up-right form factor as opposed to things that slides or seperates etc - most of the casing is made from steel so should stand-up to the occasional fall.
I assume it will come locked to my mobile provider's network, so will need to get it unlocked if I want to use another provider - But I have come across a product called Rebel Simcard that seem's to let you use another providers sim card by somehow fooling the phone it is using the correct simcard! - Even the iphone 3GS is supported - (Maybe useful ?)

iPhone 3G 8gb Black.
I hate it.
I'm going to try and get a PSPGo for my audio and portable gaming needs and go back to my LG CU500

Interesting. My iPhone is great. I like that I only have to carry one thing that does everything.
