I'm searching for the ever elusive Xp pro recovery cds for a T30. It seems they might be available on this forum. Id be so grateful to end my search.

Hi,
Recently I got T30 2366-QU5 from my friend. It doesn't have Operating System, but has XP professional COA sticker on bottom side. I want to load IBM's OS & drivers on it. I searched many places to download the OS Restore CDs, no luck so far. Could you please help me to have restore CDs to load XP & drivers.
Presently it has 2X512MB memory, Can I upgrade it to 2X1GB?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in Adavance.

And yes, your T30 can handle 2x1GB.

I too need the recovery disks for the T30 - I did a clean install of XP Professional after I was unable to recover from the recovery partition due to hang ups on install and thus the restore software in the recovery partition was replaced by the XP software I installed - thanks for any assistance

Is it possible to still get T30 recovery disk? For XP. I see DD on lenovo site, but all individual drivers, would

Quick question... Whats so special about this disks, well... i mean, the software they contain, that a clean install of WXP wont do, (Besides the drivers, wich have to be manually downloaded)

What kind of software does it contain (In case i want one :twisted: )

They are the recovery disks from IBM, which include Windows XP Pro (without any Service Packs) as well as all the T30 drivers and specific T30 software. I add another disk with additional software.
For a factory Recovery you do not need Windows activation, for any other Windows version you do.
That's why these disks are preferred over any others.

I've been hunting for T30 and X31 recovery disc for ages and I'm so happy that I've found this forum.

I too find myself in need of the XP Pro recovery disc set for the T30 (P4 2.4) after my poor HDD finally died. I would indeed be very apprecitive of any assistance that could be provided.
