I've been on the look-out for an external keyboard that matches well with my thinkpad (t60p). I've been lucky to borrow this keyboard for some months:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-45868
It has worked well for me, except that was able to flex a bit when typing. It has been discontinued and replaced by a keyboard without numeric keypads.
Generally opinions of this keyboard and it's little brother ( http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-45849 ) seems pretty mixed, also with regards to durability.
The second keyboard I've been considering is the Unicomp Endurapro, which features a trackpoint-esque mouse. http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/en104wh.html
The keyboard receives good reviews, but the PS/2 is a bit of a let-down along with the fact that it is not as compact as the Ultranav keyboard. I need a custom (danish) layout.
Tl;dr:
What other non-Lenovo external keyboards which offer mouse navigation of some sort can you recommend? Typing comfort and a compact, no-frills business design is preferred.

External keyboard with integrated mouse/navigation?
Re: External keyboard with integrated mouse/navigation?
None of the IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad models are perfect.
I personally still prefer the original M4-1 - it flexes less than others, is as compact as they come, as the ergonomi-cysts lost their battle for real estate and there is no palm-rest nor touch-pad.

If you want really compact, there is nothing that compares with the Samsung Q1. But you'd better buy two; they aren't built to IBM standards; the trackpoint is stiff, and I have yet to get a commitment from Samsung to repair mine.

As for a Danish layout, I have no idea.

Re: External keyboard with integrated mouse/navigation?
Heh, thanks for the reply, it was much appreciated... I simply didn't have the time to look further into this. The M4 looks awesome, but i couldn't find any information regarding other layouts than US layout. A shame they don't manufacture these any longer.
I'll skip the Samsung, even though it seems more compact.
I'm really close to pull the trigger and order the EnduraPro... made in the US and everything. A relative of mine works in a company who used IBM model M keyboards, long, long ago, so ironically they were also thrown away long ago. So no chance for me to try out the buckling-spring principle. Do Unicomp keyboards with this principle feel the same... or does anyone have any pros and cons about the quality of their keyboards in general?

Currently there's a NEW M4 on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-M4-1-ultra-smal ... 336a11c43f
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
