T43 drivers : ACPI Controller and LPC Intel 82801FBM - 264

#1 Post by thinktwice » Sat Jun 30, 2012 3:31 am

Hello,

On Lenovo's website, I cannot find the two drivers mentioned in the title for a T43 Type 2668-45G.

I looked in the "Power Management" section and installed on Windows XP the softwares belonging to this category, but this does not solve anything.

Did someone already encountered this issue?

Thanks.

Install the Software Installer which will find and install any missing Software / Drivers for you.

Software installer is no longer supported.
You need to install SystemUpdate instead: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail. ... VSU-UPDATE
Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 with Service Pack 1 or Microsoft
.NET Framework version 2.0 is required for System Update to work
correctly. Use Microsoft Windows Update to ensure that Microsoft .NET
Framework 1.1 or 2.0 is installed on your system.

And running Windows XP SP2 the SystemUpdate also no longer seems to work in 2017.

I too am stuck on the Intel(R) 82801FBM LPC Interface Controller, Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller, and a 2nd ethernet adaptor on PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 11, device 2, function 0)(maybe the wireless card?). I checked on the drivers page and installed a few from there: https://thinkpads.com/support/Thinkpad- ... m/T43.html - perhaps some direction would help.

This is a T43 2668-CTO and I already have PCI Slot 2 drivers for the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet. Any help is appreciated.

Post screenshots of their respective Device Instance IDs, like this:

This will help identifying the ACPI controller and the Network Controller.

As for the LPC, see if Intel still has generic drivers for the 915GM chipset.

My take is that you're missing the chipset driver, along with the one for your IBM (Atheros-chipped) ABG wireless card. Both should be available at the "Drivers" link at the top of this page.

Tried the chipset driver (oss505ww.exe) and no dice.

Looks like the rightmost is the Winbond National Semiconductor driver. Could the IBM0068 in this instance be the Power Management driver, although I already have the battery maximizer.

NSC1100 is Security (Trusted Platform)
IBM0068 is Power Management
VEN168C&DEV_0013 is Atheros wifi

Get the first 2 drivers from our Drivers link above and the Atheros from http://www.atherosdrivers.com/

Looks like the Power Management and Winbond need to be manually installed, so thanks for that.
Regarding the Atheros part, should I got with the AR5001X or AR5001X+?

Edit: it seems the AR5001X should suffice as + link is down on that website. Turns out it does work properly so thanks again.
