Thinkpad 240: sound chip/card? Settings in DOS?

#1 Post by mario_a » Sun Dec 24, 2017 5:35 pm

I have a ThinkPad 240 on which I installed DOS and want to play some old DOS games on. I could not find any information on the soundcard/chip in this machine, so I have no idea how to configure audio on it.

Can any of you help me?

http://thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:240 says ESS Technology ES1946.

Maybe this can help: https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=19212
Good Sir! It would appear that You might have solved my main issue.

If it's not too much to ask: would I solve the mouse issue using some universal PS/2 mouse driver? e.g. CuteMouse?

CuteMouse should be good. I've been using it on all my DOS setups.
