x240 backlight fuse

#1 Post by czpath2 » Wed Dec 27, 2017 4:35 pm

Any idea where the fuse for the backlight is? Tried a bunch but they are all good.

Assume either this fuse is out or the backlight is dead [Screen shows, but no backlight].

Thanks!

That should be fuse F3, type ERBRD3R00X (32V, 3A), located near the mobo's LCD-connector.

Thanks! You saved me chasing my tail any further The fuse has continuity. [As you said, it's nearby the connector: it's on the opposite side of the PCB directly over the connector].

Could be a bad display (bought it a while back and hasn't been tested) or a bad cable (got it without a LCD so don't know).

Ugh. Also getting 2100 drive detection errors which I assume is either a bad cable or MB issue.

May just stick with x220/x230 for a while longer.
