T25 Keyboard raised?

#1 Post by jra166 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 5:53 pm

Hello Everyone, recently received my T25 and I love it, however the bottom of my keyboard isn't level. I've looked at many HD pictures and of the T25 and it appears that they all have similar raised keys on the bottom right side of the keyboard compared to the left side. Possibly do to the compressed/slim/redesign required for a modern laptop. Maybe it is the angle, or maybe I have a defective unit, but here is an image of my t25 which seems to be more pronounced.

Can anyone else with a T25 look at their keyboard from a similar angle and let me know if this is normal?

Possible bloated battery.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

This is mine:

As you can see, there is some unevenness, with the keys on the right of the spacebar appearing more raised, but it's not as pronounced as in the jra166's picture, and the Fn key on the left is actually more raised than the arrows on the right.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to send it back and pick up another T410s. Bigger screen, classic keyboard, and much much cheaper.

The T410s screens are not good. The Toshiba LCD will develop MIGR-76367 and the Samsung LCD has poor colors. And some Toshibas come with Lenovo's Samsung FRU on them so you never know what you're really getting.

I had this exact issue on my T25 after it was repaired by lenovo. Bothered me for a while until i took it apart...the keyboard slots in to the palmrest bezel, if you dont push the keyboard down fully while sliding it, the metal nub that is supposed to slot in and lock the keyboard in place, will not slot, and instead sit on top creating this buldge. Just re-seat the keyboard and all will be well...

I know this is an old thread, but posting so others can get a fix in case they have this issue!!

Keyboard doesn't look seated right. I had the issue when building my T26.
