Hi all,
I recently purchased a refurbished T440, it's been a great workhorse running debian.
However, I have been hitting issues where I've been running low on RAM (Slack + Chrome + VSCode), so I wanted to try to put another DIMM in it.
However, when I tried to open it up, I found that the screws were WAYYY over-torqued, to the point that I can't get them out without stripping them.
How safe do you think it would be to drill out some of the screws?
Take a look at our

If you can't get them out with out stripping them you are using the wrong screwdriver. I've done the X240 with no problem even though the screws were initially very tight.ShakenU wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2018 5:55 pmHi all,

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

use Philips PH0 screwdriver matching to the screwhead size, they won't strip:
