In Windows XP the adapter works just fine and the signal is immediately picked up by the tv. In Windows 7 however the X201 will not detect the tv at all. The tv detects that something is connected but gets no signal and the X201 sees no external monitor.
Anybody have this issue before and find a solution?
My best guess is drivers but I've moved to latest 18.104.22.16893 from Intel's site and saw no difference over the one hosted by Lenovo on the X201 support page. XP was using 22.214.171.12484, I'm no sure where to find anything older. Is there a driver for the UltraBase I could be missing?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

With a proper converter like this: https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-HDMI ... 263&sr=8-2 plus a decent HDMI cable it will work for both picture and sound.
