LF: UXGA mod for t60 14.1

As title says, I am looking for a modded lid or screen (LQ141U1LH02 sharp lcd AFAIK) for a 14.1 T60 project

Only one seller though I think.. it is a bit more rare but not quite as bad as the PC110 screen that I still hope I can find someday.

Is this a drop-in replacement for the T60 or will I need to attempt some difficult mod on the cable or connector piece?

As far as I know there is a need for a small modification (just disconnect one pin). In any case if its doable I am ready to try
The price seems quite low so I would be happy if you help me with obtaining one (or two).

Also, the X1 panel is XGA. You want the U1 panel which is UXGA.

I searched for the correct UXGA model LQ141U1LH02, and there were no obvious results for sale entries.

Any further hints? Haven't seen it, can't find it, already been searching for years... I have even written pns to all the people on this forum that ever mentioned being in possession of that screen, but they all parted with it long time ago or didn't answer

Hello Everyone,

I just saw this post a few mins ago. I came into ownership of a T61 14" machine recently and I wanted to know if this panel would fit this machine. I would like to purchase the panel on ebay, before they run out, if I the interface matches the T61 14" machine.

I normally do research in finding out the answer but I am at work and can't spare the time in finding the answer.

I am grateful for anyone's help.

According to posts 41 and 42 of the thread linked to by RBS in the post above, it should work in a T61.

Provided it is a 14.1" 4:3 and NOT widescreen, it will fit.
Those T61 are of the 88xx series/MTM and currently have either an XGA or SXGA+ screen.

Sorry, so will the pin clipping be necessary if installing this in what was originally a T61p 4:3 SXGA+ model?

Just disconnecting pin #2 for a T6x should do it, see viewtopic.php?t=73465

Do NOT mix up the mods for T4x and T6x!!!!!

Yeah, they sent that to me too. They've got good feedback and I know the Chinese new year is right about now, so I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, for the 2-3 weeks they're asking for anyway. Well within the "file a claim" window if it does turn out to be a hoax.

My preferred guys will go on holiday over the upcoming weekend, and others probably already started the holiday (it's a very late evening /early night Friday right now). The CNY is a big and long holiday, so you'll have to wait until mid-February for things to start moving in the business world -- foreign exports will largely be at a standstill (because even the shipping company workers are off). In all things, patience.

I have had messages back and forth with the seller. I purchased the panels on 1-24 and got the same message on 1-24, as listed by Wolfman_Jack (above).

The seller asked me if I wanted a refund early on since it was the start of the CNY. I said that I didn't want a refund and I would wait. They responded on 1-29 with the following.

Then I sent a message on 2-14 to get an update. I received the below message on 2-14. I don't know why they are asking me if I want to wait or that I want a refund, since I said that I wanted panels from the beginning. Their suppler would be back on Tuesday, 2-19.

I really wanted one of those panels but after all this I think I might be glad that I didn't get one. I hope one of these panels makes it to the correct destination, and hopefully a step further into someones Thinkpad.
