What Thinkpad Yoga do I consider?

#1 Post by Whitieiii » Sat Jun 09, 2018 11:26 pm

I'm thinking I may want a Thinkpad Yoga after all the things I hear about them and I'd love to try one out but don't know what model to get as I'm wanting to get one with a 12 inch screen and is similar to an x240 in both case design and prossessing power but don't know the Yoga models very well.. I was considering going with a Yoga 11e but I don't like the design with it's extra bumper protection or lack of prossessing power of it with a Celeron CPU and 4GB ram... What models would I want to consider? I'm hoping to get something with 4-6 hours battery life minimum so I don't have to lug my power adapter with me if im just going to the coffee shop or something... What would you recommend?

I have had a quick look at a Yoga 370 which is a 2017 model with a 13.3 inch screen. Apart from the Windows 10 it didn't look too bad.

It seemed reasonably powered with a nice screen. It had 8 GB of ram which personally I think is plenty and it has removable ram but only 1 slot.

2018 models have soldered ram and might be more susceptible to screen flicker. Seemed to have a reasonable build yet light package also.

For me a 12 inch at 16 x 9 is a bit small YMMV .

ya.. for a Yoga I think the 12 inch one will be perfect for me... I was looking at the Yoga S1 but that thing is just a bit too much money for the specs offered and the T440s is now around $200! I'm kinda worried the battery life won't be as good... i'd want one to last at least 6 hours so I don't have to lug a power supply with me on short trips... did any yoga come with an optional WWAN 4G card?
