Author misuses the term "bricking".

I don't do the updates (hack me).

I've tried MacOSX over the last few days just because I've been fed up with W10 and W7 and all this update deferring and OS crap. All my W10 installations all have unique problems across each machine:

T450 #1: Performs worse and worse over days if not rebooted and has strange issues with monitors and docks
T450 #2: When put to sleep the HDD spins up every 10 seconds.
P70: When put to sleep it BSODs
Custom #1: Sound issues once in a while even though it recognizes playing sounds.

This doesn't even touch my problems with W7....

And those are the ones I can think of right now...so what can I give the FRUIT credit for as much as I despise them?

MacOSX Sierra....well it just works. There's no stupid sound problems, slow downs over time, BSODs...and unlike Linux the programs I want to run actually are on the platform. That doesn't mean I'm switching just yet...but that isn't a NO yet....though if I did I would Hackintosh a ThinkPad.

And I'm just going to put this out there....my 6-core i7 w/ GTX 980 custom desktop...well it gets its butt kicked by a 2013 MBA w/ a 1.7GHz ULV i7 and integrated graphics when running Fusion and Chrome....and I can tell you that is ALL W7 just being a pain.

Somebody at MS needs to go revive Terry A. Davis and get him to reprogram the Windows operating system...and it better be led by a Project Manager who has a sense of competence in making a USABLE OS(probably why Apple makes decent OS's is because they pulled a W10 with MacOS 9...oh what a P.O.S what was)
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
