Ordered a X330.
Mine will have the Samsung Display instead of the old one's XPS 13 AUO, which had the annoying Adaptive Brightness thing. It also sports better color and such, according to KK. (See the differences here). All in all my i5-3520M model ran me $337 inc. Shipping and has a shipping date of Mar. 4. Can't wait. Will also be doing an AMA, if you're into that.

Re: Ordered a X330.
I also bought one from them a month ago. But I am still waiting it to get it delivered. Can I ask you where you are from and what delivery company you chose? I used Chinese third party agent called superbuy to but it for me.

How convenient. Did it arrive safe and intact?

Re: Ordered a X330.
Honestly it was the prospect of a X230 Chassis with the 13" display- It was either that or the WQHD X230, which I honestly didn't need, FHD is enough. That and the XPS 13 has utterly spoiled me.

Re: Ordered a X330.
I look into the x330, since I worry about the heat of the x210.
On the page by KK, I see lots of time the word DIY, which is not really what I want, since I do not even have a x230 right now.
I am looking for a complete x330 with i7-quad core (apprently there is 3612QE and 3615) and the highest resolution possible, all the USB3 ports possible, and the keyboard of the x220. Does he provide this ? I see a package priced at 5199 CNY in a picture, but he says there is bargain at 4999 too, and on another page, with Sharp screen mentioned in a picture, it is priced at 4799 CNY.
Also, how is the heat, the fan noise and the coil whining on the x330 ?
EDIT: I try to simulate an order ton superbuy. I select ''CN ¥ 5199.00 color peacock'' which is, I think, the x320+samsung lcd+i7 quadcore 3612 [not 3615, which is okay for me]
But I want the i7 3612 and also the various options and I do not understand how to include them, because the way to pay is to add to the cart the 20 CNY fake object, but how do I tell KK which option I use ?
For instance,
remove 128GB SSD intel [is it even possible ?] = -399 yuans
remove his 8gb ram = -260 yuans
option WIFI card intel 7260AC =95 yuan
option white bios = 0 yuan
option mSATA/USB 3.0 = 138 yuan
option keyboard of the x220 = 88 yuan
option drilling holes with CNC to help venting = 98 yuan
total = 419 yuans minus [price of ram and msata]
so total = 5952 yuans including local shipping.
SInce I do not have a debit crad in USD, I would like to use transferwise to pay in USD with bank transfer. Is this possible or superbuy only allows payment in debit card?

Re: Ordered a X330.
If you're talking directly to the Vendor (KK), no, the only official way to buy is through AliPay in RMB, and you need to speak directly to him (he apparently doesn't speak English very well, so in Chinese) about what things you want to add, which config you want, and so fourth. He also seems to default to "pay shipping fees at arrival", which 99% of the time means that the laptop is gonna get sent back once your forwarder gets it. I'm considering starting forwarding these things internationally and handling all of this, but I haven't gotten the go ahead from Bill, and also my X330 is still being made.artic_squirrel wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 5:13 amI look into the x330, since I worry about the heat of the x210.

Re: Ordered a X330.
In my simulation, superbuy added 35 yuans of local shipping to their warehouse, so I thought the local shipping was paid in advance.
Do modify the price, there is a little button ''edit'' near the price in yuan and apparently it is where I can enter my options.

"You can modify the price. Once the item has been paid, you may need to pay the difference between the actual price and the price you provided."
Also, does superbuy take a fee in any case, I heard about 10%, or is it only when we ask the agent to negotiate ?
What special services did you select {taking pictures and all that] ? here is the list of services https://www.superbuy.com/en/page/help/# ... helpId1013

Re: Ordered a X330.
I didn't use SuperBuy, I negotiated with them myself. The issue is that KK requires you to directly talk to him and he will change the price using Taobao.artic_squirrel wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 12:46 pmIn my simulation, superbuy added 35 yuans of local shipping to their warehouse, so I thought the local shipping was paid in advance.

I made an account just to ask where you can check all these parts and where I can contact the people that make these custom builds? Im truly at loss.

I do not understand the business of having an internal USB port with the option of the mSATA card. What is the use of this internal port ?

You can e.g. install your mouse USB-dongle in there, so you have nothing sticking out.

Re: Ordered a X330.
So what is the procedure for buying one of these?
- Make an account on Taobao
- Talk to KK personally in English, or perhaps Google-translated Chinese
- Pay him through... AliPay? How?
- Wait for laptop to arrive
Did I get this correct? Thanks in advance.

Re: Ordered a X330.
make an accoutn on superbuy, edit the price reflecting the features you want and reject and mention this calculation in the editing box of the price, explain the 3rd party from superbuy your desire, so that the 3rd party can tell KK, pay with payal in USD or yuan
i would also use some affiliated link to get some discount and use this tutorial to avoid customs
