X1C 6th Gen and LG 32UD99-W - TUSB3410 Boot Device in Device Manager, no drivers available?

#1 Post by silisevic » Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:52 pm

Been using a new (couple of weeks old) LG 32UD99-W connected via USB-C to Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen without issues, until today.

Today there appeared an unknown device in the Win10 Device Manager - TUSB3410 Boot Device.
LG doesn't offer drivers for that device, and neither does Windows Update find anything useful.

Google mentions something similar on Dell monitors - apparently it is (probably) an interface for updating firmware.

QUESTION: any idea where can I find the drivers for that TUSB3410 Boot Device?

SOLVED :D

After some Googling I happened upon a post at dpreview discussing the color calibration options of the LG 32UD99, and it mentioned that the TUSB3410 is, among others, an interface for LG's internal calibration hardware.

So, to solve missing driver, all one needs to do is install the True Color Pro 4.0.9 software (or similar LG monitor software) from LG's support site.
For instance, one found here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/software- ... CT10000033
