Thinking of adding RAM to my W540, anyone hear of 'Non-specific' latency?

Came across A-Tech brand RAM on eBay. Highly rated seller and product, but not a lot of specs in the ad, so I emailed them with the question what was the latency. They replied, their latency is 'non-specific'. I've never heard of that before. Anybody have any experience with this brand RAM? TIA

i can only offer my experience with sellers stating a 'non-specific' latency for their SO-DIMMs, which generally means the SO-DIMMs they sell are of random variety in terms of timings. if it's the same listing, you might still get something different, but the speed of the SO-DIMM remains the same as most listings only state the SO-DIMM's speed.

i don't have any experience with A-Tech unfortunately, so i can't tell if it's bad or good.
send me a PM if you need something added or changed in the ThinkWiki, i might not be active all the time so please be patient
