ThinkPad T490 +thunderbolt 3 dock + LG 27UL500-W 27-Inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum. Recently I got a ThinkPad T490 + ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 docking station for work. My manager asked me to purchase two 27" monitors (each under US$350) so I got two LG 27UL500-W 27" monitors and planning to run dual monitor setup. I'm hoping with the LG 27UL500-W monitors, I can run 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) @ 60HZ. However I remember seeing in the T490 manual that I would need a "Thunderbolt 3" monitor in order to drive two external monitors at 4K @ 60HZ. It seems that if I'm using one HDMI and one DisplayPort, then I would only be able to run these two external monitors (using the Thunderbold 3 docking station), at 4K @ 30HZ at most.

1. Is this true? If so, is there any possible work-around that I can still run 4K@60HZ on these two LG 27" monitors via the docking station?

2. I suppose that I can't run ONE monitor at 4K @ 60HZ, and the other at 4K @ 30HZ, right??

3. If I really have to get a "Thunderbolt 3" 27" monitor (in order to drive both monitors at 4K @ 60HZ), which 27" monitor people would recommend (for such system configuration)?

p.s. By the way, the docking station that I have is the "Lenovo USA ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock Gen 2 135W (40AN0135US) Dual UHD 4K Display Capability, 2 HDMI, 2 DP, USB-C, USB 3.1"

Did you get the dock to work? I am considering purhasing the same dock to run 2 4K @ 60Hz and was told by tech support this dock will work for that purpose. My understanding is with that dock its possible. Currently I have a Dell 27 " 4K monitor with display port and HDMI ports but not USB C. The P43s which I have is the same as the T490 spec wise except for the video card. I believe I can connect display port to the dock and HDMI to the dock. Then from the dock to the P43s I need connect to USB C and the Thunderbolt USB C. Is this what you did? Thanks in advance.
