Interesting chip brand on memory modules...

#1 Post by cadillacmike68 » Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:02 pm

Check this out:

No matter which side of the aisle you are on, this should give you a chuckle:

Item number: 264742515896
Listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1GB-1G-DDR-RAM ... SwSPJey2CO

Item number: 264742515936
Listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1GB-1G-DDR-RAM ... SwLsRey2B3

Dammit the links got truncated but the item numbers are good.

I need to re-learn how to use tinyurl...

Any eBay link can (and should) be shortened like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264742515896
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264742515936

Thanks for the reminder to NEVER buy such crap.

Yup please keep that in mind. I just replied in another thread that my experience with these sticks (yes I had them) was that they don't even give a glimpse of POST on a T42 that I had back then and I was only able to get it to work on an Inspiron 600m (The Inspiron replica of Latitude D600), and even then it is sketchy when I insert both of the sticks together.

Here goes:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/264742515896

http://www.ebay.com/itm/264742515936

But it appears that RBS already did it for us. Thanks again.

Just to be clear, I'm not promoting this, they are essentially junk as per kfzhu1229, but should generate a few laughs.
