Sorry, no commercial sellers allowed here without asking Bill
Hi, I'm selling my R601F Frankenpad I built myself this year, short story here on forum
It was great fun to wok on it and final result is a 15" 4:3 tank I am typing this post on.
It is time to release funds I spent on it as there is another project waiting to play with, T60 this time.
Few pictures on my Google Drive
This is 15" 4:3 R60 Type 9461-54G with R61 42W7822 motherboard (Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller)
Middleton BIOS flashed for Penryn support, SATA 2 speeds and Wi-Fi white list removal.
CPU: Core 2 Duo T9300
RAM: 2x2GB DDR2 sticks
Storage: none, selling without SSD. If buyer really wants I can put in some old HDD and install Mint on it for good start
Screen: Boe-Hydis 15" 4:3 FlexView 1600x1200, bought as new on Aliexpress in Dec.2019. This is the show runner here. See pictures in building thread I linked above.
Wi-Fi: Intel AC 7260 card with extension adapter to reach original full size card mounting points. I don't know it full potential, but it is maxing my home WiFi speeds at 240Mbps download and 26Mbps upload on speedtest I have just run.
Keyboard: UK layout, looks like new, zero polish on keys.
Battery original capacity was 56160 [mWh], 49370 [mWh] left of it now, 88%, showing 78 charging cycles. It will hold on max screen brightness from 1.5h to 2h depending what you do
Asking price is 220 EUR with PayPal. Delivery in Ireland 15 EUR, to other EU countries 25 EUR
Any questions, ask me.
Thank you for looking, have a great day!
X61 7673-V2V, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G, X32 (IPS Screen), A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
The best is that it actually went back to the original owner from whom I bought half a year ago the broken screen R60 that was the base for this build. All the best to the new/old owner! I'm happy it found good home in neighborhood and much appreciation.
I sold it for the asking price from the OP, which is cost of parts used for the build.
I didn't charge anything for the time and work I spent building it, my pay is in the fun and tears I had building it, knowledge I gained in the process and friends, kudos to RBS who helped me with the motherboard.
Next project: frankenpadding T60. I already have all the parts in place, just need time.
My favorite part of this thread lolmy pay is in the fun and tears I had building it
