Decided to upgrade my T420 from HDD to SSD. Reinstalled W10 but having a nightmare with drivers this time round.
I've cleared most of the unknown devices off Device Manager, but stuck on the biometric coprocessor (fingerprint reader).
Trying to install the driver off Lenovo website, but keeps falling with the message Windows Biometric Framework not present or something. I've tried enabling WBF in gpedit.msc, but still comes up with the message.
Don't remember having this issue when installing W10 last time, so can only think it is caused by one of the big W10 updates since.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

Reinstalling W10 on a T420
Re: Reinstalling W10 on a T420
Figured it out to anyone interested.
The ThinkVantage Fingerprint software version on the Lenovo T420 page is version 5.9.
I found a version 6.0 of this software on Google. This version installed ok on the latest W10.
