380Z not booting - interchangability with other 380 machines?

#1 Post by solidpro » Thu Nov 24, 2022 3:08 am

Hi All

I have loads of different 380/380Ex machines but only 1 x 380Z.

The 380Z does not boot. I've switched the RAM, disconnected everything not necessary and switched the CPU for another. Still nothing. It powers up with fan but nothing else. Guess it would be power related.

However my question is that other 380 machines are quite common but the 380Z seems to have it's own unique drivers etc. IS there much interchangability between the 380Z and others in the 380 range? I know then that if I disassembled another 380 I could do parts transfers to determine the cause of the problem...

I will look at the HMM but wondered if anyone had any experience...
