I'm looking ideally for someone with multiple of the following parts to save on shipping:
- 1x T42/T43 UXGA Cable: 91P6858
- 1x 15" T42/T43 Palm Rest (with finger-print reader) in mint condition (or without it if that's compatible too)
- 1x Ultrabay 2000 DVD Drive (Any FRU that can at least read DVDs, combo/write is a plus).
- 1x 15" A2x Front LCD Bezel in mint/non-chipped condition
I would also be interested in a full 15" A2x LCD assembly if you don't want to part out just the font LCD bezel
I know both of these models suffer from design flaws so I'm hoping someone on here has a few parts units. Priority #1 is an Ultrabay 2000 DVD Drive, hoping to get any of the other items with it as shipping to Canada is expensive!
Thanks,
Plunkyy

Re: WTB: Various T42/A22 parts
Plunkyy...
I've got most of your T42/A22 parts (except the cable, sorry...I've got 2 gorgeous T42p UXGA units that I'd like to keep together, however I've also got a 14" SXGA unit I may be parting out (much as it pains me... absolutely close to the zenith of "The Best Form Factor Laptop IBM Ever Built!")...you can check the HMM's and find out if the cable is compatible.) My UXGA units are 2373-KYU and 2374-D03.... The SXGA is a 14" unit, 2373-8ZU.
I've got spare palmrests and DVD burners, and I'll probably be parting out an A22m, so the bezel should be no problem as well.
All this stuff is in temporary storage until Saturday, so I can check then and get back to you.
I'm in London, so shipping shouldn't be too expensive.
Regards.
Dave
Edit: Brain fart....I've got some parted-out T43 and p units... I'm pretty sure there's a UXGA cable still left in one of the boxes...will check Saturday.

That would be awesome! My T42 is already SXGA+ so I'm not interested in the 14" SXGA+ cable (keep it as is if it's still working!). The UXGA cable would just be a nice upgrade and would give me an excuse to upgrade the screen from the dim and dead-pixel-ridden screen I have in it currently (and the fact that I'm a perfectionist when it comes to these beautiful laptops). I appreciate the help! I'll check back in on the weekend
Thanks,
Plunkyy

Re: WTB: Various T42/A22 parts
Unfortunately olex only had the Ultrabay 2000 DVD reader, so our deal has fell through as shipping is the cost of the item itself... If anyone else has the Ultrabay 2000 DVD reader + at least another one of these parts (ideally the UXGA cable or 15" one-piece palmrest/keyboard bezel) I'd be happy to work out a deal!
