ThinkPad R500 bluetooth issue

#1 Post by jerryvarner » Fri Feb 07, 2025 2:37 am

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I have a problem with bluetooth of my ThinkPad R500. Previously, when turned on, the bluetooth light came on, but went out when Windows loaded. Now it is constantly on, but Windows does not see bluetooth. Can you please advise what to do about this?

Given the age of the R500, it's possible that the Bluetooth module is malfunctioning or already dead.

to be able to help better, can you please tell is the driver up to date and is the driver correct for your version of Windows?

drivers for R500 can be found at Lenovo's EOL portal: https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html
