Google Search with no AI

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Wed Mar 12, 2025 11:10 pm

If anyone is annoyed with the AI in the search sites like google. I found if you enter -ai at the end of what you want to look up it will cancel out the ai results. I think the same is in google images.

That's neat. However I noticed that websites themselves are getting polluted with AI stuff and research engines are staring to pull AI-generated stuff from the internet anyway. A good example is looking for "baby peacock" pictures, most of them are AI.

That's looking a bit scary for the future; the internet won't be a reliable source of information and tool of communication anymore, breaking its original goal.

The entire internet is going to be ruined with every website and company "Microsoft, Google and so on" forcing you to use AI rather you want to or not. I know people say switch to Linux but overtime they will soon invest AI into them and say that is the norm to have AI, Firefox is trying to put AI into it as well.

To search for older images/real instead of typing -ai at end of search put before 2022 at end of search.

ive started using duckduckgo since it's the only decent search engine for mypal browser which i've started using on XP/Vista which are the only legal Windowses for ThinkPads T60/R60 which are my favorite thinkpads to use

enragingly duckduckgo also features AI results

satisfactorily, they provide a GUI option to turn off AI results

it's gotten competent as a search engine. i remember when it was slow. that's not the case anymore.
