IBM-Lenovo T60 Ethernet problem /xp/

#1 Post by coolmsnman » Tue Oct 18, 2011 4:42 am

Hi!

I've already read several topics but i don't find the answer to my problem, so i post a new topic for it.

Last sunday, i bought my first IBM-Lenovo product a T60 /type:2007/ thinkpad.
I realy like it but i can't stand out the Windows Vista, so i decided to install an another OS.
I installed a windows xp sp3 successfully and the all drivers.
The ethernet driver had been installed successfully too but it did't work.
I switch the cabel and start the mozzila firefox but the home page dosen't loading in.
I checked the network connestion and it works, i can reach the local network in the
student hostel.
There is sent and recived data but the packages number is low.
The most annoying thing that's the wireless networt is working well.

Has anybody has a same problem?
What can cause it?
How can i solve my problem?
What i should check?

Thanks!

Gergő

After you download a driver, and doubleclick the file, all it does is extracting files
Write down where the files are extracted to, then go there and install it, by clicking on setup.exe or whatever install pgm you find there.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
