X20 keyboard advice.

#1 Post by Jumphog » Thu Apr 07, 2005 10:58 am

Ive finally got hold of a UK keyboard for my X20, it works great but came without the black plastic section around the power/volume buttons. Im going to transfer the one from my old keyboard and I was wondering if anyone had done this.
It looks to me like that part is held onto the frame of the keyboard by 3 plastic posts/pegs that have been poked through to the back of the frame and then had the protruding parts melted to hold them in place. Is this the case, or is there an elegant way of taking it apart without breaking the pegs and remelting/gluing it back together again?

Update: The black plastic section does just clip into the keyboard - its not attached via the 3 pegs that come throught the back. With a bit of prising it popped out of my old keybaord and clipped into my new one easily. Job done.
