is my SXGA T40 running at 50hz or 60hz?

#1 Post by iminlovewith » Thu Apr 07, 2005 11:30 am

hi,
in my Display Properties, /Advanced/Adapter, i set my refresh rate at 60hz. however, when i goto the ATI tabs, there is a tab that says my screen is only running at 50hz. is it supposed to be like this?

if my screen really running at 50hz, could this explain why my eyes feel strained and blurry after i use my laptop?

Yep. It is, however, customary to treat all LCDs as having 60Hz "refresh rate". Just match all your setting so that there is no conflict between them, your monitor wont care.

Washed out and hard to read? Have you tried the brightness and contrast adjustments?

You need to calibrate first. And load the IBM monitor profile in the configuration.

Load a reference file and adjust.

I have the exact same problem. Did you manage to fix yours?
Thanks,
