Hi Everyone,
I've just got my hands on an X40 and a T42p.
Initially the X40 was giving me problems. After reaching 100% charge on the battery (and with the charger still plugged in), the machine would make a 'clicking' sound every now and then followed by the screen flashing. Not knowing what to do, i reinstalled the system using IBM Rapid restore. Didn't help. I then reconditioned the battery and now it seems to be fine (3 days, no problem).
But i know noticed now that when the t42 is fully charged, the led indicator on the laptop changes from amber to green.
However with the X40, even if i've got 100% charge, the led indicator is always amber.
Just wondering if this is normal behaviour or if i've got a dud x40.
thanks for any help,
cheers,
battery led color
Re: battery led color
Hm, I would recommend you to send your x40 back for repair. Because when mine is discharged and I start charging indicator is brown. After 90% it becomes green and starts flashing, at 100% is green.
Let's go'n'restart
