SPACE INT'L SCSI Host adaptor

#1 Post by daeojkim » Thu Apr 07, 2005 11:27 pm

This is for A31p

OK I keep getting this "New Hardware found" for this device called "SPACE INT'L and tries to install drivers.
Then it fails saying "A service installation section in this INF is invalid"

What is this? This started happenig after I attached the computer to the docking station.

does this have something to do with docking communication system?

Does anyone know where I can download the correct driver?

Anyone have any idea what the unknown device might be?

Thanks.

gazingwa,

Thanks for the tip. You were right. I had installed CD Space and then uninstalled it. Something must have not gone right. I reinstalled it and uninstalled it again and the problem went away.

Thanks.

Do you have any idea what the unknown device might be? Someone had suggested that it is probably ACPI power management and told me to install IBMPM(?). I did that but it did not fix the problem.

NOTE: there is IBMPM and IBMPMM one is a driver, one is a managment program, when you run the exe file, it just puts the driver in a directory under c:\drivers\...\ibmpm (i think that is the directory, i'm on a delldesktop at work at the moment) you can either install from the setup program or... use device manager to update and use that directory as the source
