CTO driver updates

#1 Post by Asudef » Tue Nov 08, 2011 3:21 am

I've got a 15" T60p model number 2007-CTO but every time I use the utility to download drivers it won't update like my standard configuration 15.4" T60p and I can't find it manually since it was custom.

Is there anything special I have to do to get drivers for my machine? When I first got the 15.4" machine I updated a bunch of drivers and even the BIOS, not sure if it needed any of it but I did like the updated Think utilities.

On the bottom should be a sticker (under the TYPE 2007-CTO) that says: PRODUCTID = 2007xxx
If the xxx there is not CTO, that's your 'real' T60p.
Alternatively, press F1 at bootup to check the BIOS entry after System-unit serial number
The first 7 characters are also your type/model 2007xxx.
Again, if the xxx there is not CTO, that's your 'real' T60p.
If you find the REAL (e.g. YF4) model, and your BIOS says 2007CTO, you can change the CTO in your BIOS into YF4, using the latest BIOS (option 3 in the BIOS program).
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
