x100e TrackPoint doesn't match after market size

Hi all,
I bought an x100e second hand for a bargain price, I saw the Trackpoint was missing but figured I'd just order spares to replace it.

I ordered the set of 6 (2 of each type) from Levonos spare parts page and they arrived today, but none fit!

The plastic stick on the keyboard where the Trackpoint sits onto is about half the size of the hole on the bottom of the Trackpoint.

Is there a special Trackpoint fit for the x100e? If so, where can I buy one?

I think, when the first TrackPoint cap was removed, part of the plastic TrackPoint mechanism was pulled off (hopefully, not broken off). If you can find another, it should snap back in place. It's possible that this piece can come from other non-X100e TP keyboards, but I am not sure. Otherwise, you need a new keyboard. Good luck.

This is a manufacturing fault, keyboard will be replaced under warranty

Almost all of my Thinkpad keyboards have done this. I can take a picture of the piece you need. It is universal, all have been interchangeable on my Thinkpads.

It's a little adapter that sits on top of that small stick and goes to the Trackpoint cap. Don't know what it's called. Let me know if you need the picture, if it will help you at all.

Hi, thanks for all the help!

Does the piece clip back on or does it need to be glued on?
I ended up filling the inside of the cap with plastic and super-gluing it on if it ever comes off again I'll try find the right part

The piece does clip back on.

I don't know if I would have glued it on. You may not get it back off now
