t520 does not see 1394 port

Up until a few days ago the 1394 (Firewire) port on my t520 was working. Now, it does not recognize firewire devices and does not even show up in the device manager.
Suggestions?

First, check in the BIOS under security/I-O Port Access. Make sure it isn't turned off
