high GPU temp on G40

#1 Post by ac12 » Sat Nov 19, 2011 1:12 am

TPFC on my G40 shows the GPU at 89C and it does not come down from that temp.
89C seems very high.
Any ideas on how to bring down the temp of the GPU?

I'd suspect an error in TPFC.

Given that G40 has integrated graphics, I highly doubt that there's even a temperature sensor there.

By the way- if you want some extra clarification I'd advise you download this program and look at the "temperatures" tab.

It might say the same temperatures, but you're probably not cooking the chipset. Though it might give you a reading in-line with expectations. Worth a shot anyways.
