Can't install dell 5530 driver with lenovo thinkpad edge 120

#1 Post by kennedytham » Wed Nov 23, 2011 2:47 am

Hi forumer,

I am new to this. I have problem with my current Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 120 with Dell 5530 WWAN modem. Hope you all can help me.
The modem(Dell Wireless 5530 HSPA Mobile Broadband Minicard Modem) detected in win7 64bit but I couldn't able to install
any dell driver. I would like to know whether I need to do anything in order to make it work.

First of all, I think you have an x120e, not an edge 120e.

You might want to revise your post in that other forum requesting a bios mod.

I think you know by now that a Dell card isn't going to work without a bios mod because of the whitelist.
