CoreI5 / Nvidia undervolting possible?
CoreI5 / Nvidia undervolting possible?
Hey guys,
is there already some possibility for undervolting known like RMClock for C2d? Or for the Nvidia?
Btw: Does somebody know if also the RAM (better target for OC with 64bit bandwidth) of the Nvidia is cooled? Onchip like on the T60?
Thx
Tobi

The utility is called ThrottleStop.
It's able to set a hard limit on the multiplier of the CPU, so you can get better battery life.
For underclocking the nVidia GPU, you can use RivaTuner.
You can overclock it using the same program, should you choose to do so.

i was talking of undervolting not clocking
Re: CoreI5 / Nvidia undervolting possible?
Obviously you haven't used the program.
Voltage drops in proportion to speed (per Intel's speed standards).
So setting a hard multiplier on that works the same way.
If you're trying to undervolt at full speed, however, you're out of luck.
You'll have to get a Core 2 based CPU for that (if you run this program on a Core 2 Duo it's much the same as RMClock).
