The Technological "Pay-Off"

I know this is something of a different thread for the ThinkPad forum, but I just wanted to throw this out there this beautiful and chilly Sunday morning.

The kids are bundled up and playing outside after spending 30 minutes or so on their individual ThinkPads. I've got music: David Brubek, followed by Bonnie Raitt, and now a little Coldplay (ripped lossless) being streamed from the home server to the HTPC which is sending the data to the AV receiver. The front end is Microsoft's Windows Media Center which is consolidating all our family media stored on the server running on Windows Home Server. All this is displayed through the use of the main TV as the monitor and controlled via Logitech's Dinovo Edge. My best coffee, which I save for the weekend is made. I'm in my recliner typing all this on my X300!

Although I can't speak for others, but "all this" is a lot of why I do what I do computer-wise. I've spent the better part of the last year getting my technology to work together just like this!

..yips ,,, Easy peezy,,,, now you can replace most with streaming 'media player' + wifi - wireless Google Enabled TV....and you never need to leave that FAV CHAIR !! Lol

for me , still dreaming on 1Megabit internet service proovider to hook up to my in-home Optics network!!! , till than I will always be 'gondowana land'

...wonder why pple want to say its "top secret' blah blah and yet they kinda tell 'everyone' where to go get it !!!


......still wonder why Lenovo is trying - seems to want to "Kill" or do everything to messup the ONCE SOLID "Thinkpad" NAME/BRAND..... am all for change but ,,,,, blah blah ,,,
