Unknown A21M Beep Code

I gave my niece an A21M as a graduation gift a few years back. She called me this morning and said that it is no longer working. It hung yesterday so she did a hard power down and when she tries to restart it gives 4 evenly spaced short beeps and then shuts down. This does not correspond to the beep codes in the IBM maintenance manual so I even had her hold it up to the phone so I could hear it myself.

Although I suspect I won't like the answer, does anyone know the meaning of this beep code? Thanks in advance for your help.

Standard operating procedure around here for power-up issues: first reseat the RAM chips, if that doesn't work replace the CMOS battery.

Thanks. You were correct. I talked her through the process of removing and reseating the memory and it powered up without a hitch.
