battery problem

#1 Post by UCI2CI » Sat Apr 09, 2005 3:11 am

a friend on mine has a t41 and his battery is stuck at 3 percent charge. he gave it to me to see if i can find out what wrong with. its about 1.5 years old and the battery health information is reporting that its ok. He has a sony battery. i have it in my t42 right now and i cant get it to charge. the battery light is just blinking amber. ive read that some people are having this problem also and that turning the computer on and off lets it charge, but that doesnt seem to work for me. some other post refered to BIOS version a cause of the problem but most of these posts are pretty old. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? any suggestion would be appreciated.
