What kind and where to buy memory for t420s

I currently have 1 - 4GB dimm, Samsung M471B5273DH0-CH9. I would like to get another stick to get 8GB, but I do not see any 'namebrand' websites that sell this model.

Can I use another brand, or can anyone recommend one of the lesser known vendors to buy this module while memory is cheap?

Or recommend a 8GB kit and if cheap enough I can just replace the exisiting DIMM

Wanting to go to 8gb as I like to run a few virtualbox sessions also.

I usually find the best prices on used memory via eBay.

Agree. My T410 had a single 4GB stick of Samsung M471B5273BH1-CF8 and I found the matching part number on eBay for $32.99.

There are several of your M471B5273DH0-CH9 sticks listed right now, new & used.
