W520 Screen

I got a new W520 a week ago with windows7 64 bit.The befault setting are for the screen to go off in ten minutes.I changed toneverQuestion is,is it better on the display to stay on or go out?
Next question,is it good or bad to have a cool mat?

I doubt your W520 will need a cool mat. You will see it does not get that warm.

I have mine set that if it is on AC to shut the screen off in 30 minutes. If on battery 5 minutes. It uses LED backlight so it does not do great harm for it to turn off and on but the LEDs last a very long time. Longer than you will own it. Just relax and enjoy your new W520. It is a GREAT machine.
