Connecting T43 to TV

#1 Post by JohnnyKwango » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:52 pm

Hi guys, is it possible to connect a T43 to a TV? If so, what cables are required? I've been searching on the net for two hours looking for answers and can't get a yay or a nay.

My TV is not the newest and only has 2 scarts in back and some audio jacks in the front.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

If no VGA input, the most likely answer is "nay" since I have a hard time believing there would be any scart-vga converters out there.

Edit: I take that back, there seem to be Scart-VGA adapters!:

Please also note that the thing comes with a few different names:
It is also known as Péritel (especially in France, where the term SCART is practically unknown), 21-pin EuroSCART (Sharp's marketing term for an attempt to market the connector in the Asian region), Euroconector[1] or EuroAV. In America, another name for SCART is EIA Multiport (an EIA interface).

You would additionaly need to figure out a way to get audio-in to your TV, possibly via a 3.5mm audio jack (from PC) => audio jack/RCA in (on TV) cable.

Thanks!

Apparently I can also get a Scart to SVideo adapter too, which would also work.

Thanks for your reply, will let you know how it goes.

T43 has S-Video output

you cam easily find a S-Video cable and a S-Video scart adapter. Also the scart adapters have audio inputs, and by the means of a headphonejack-rca cable - you can input also the sounsd from your t43.
ex: T30, TR451, TR453, R51, R52, X40, X60, R61, T400
X200 - P8600 2.66Ghz, 3G, 250G
G50-70 - 3558U 2.4Ghz, 4G, 1T

Aha, I was not aware that T43 had S-video out. That should solve it!
