Got it today via UPS, brand new direct from Lenovo. It's a very nice computer, quiet, fast, beautiful screen (1600x900). It's computer nirvana. Except...the dang bottom is warped or bent or whatever you want to call it. It wobbles when I type. So this weekend or Monday, I'm going to call Lenovo and send the thing back to them and start over with my purchase. Before I do, I'm just curious, has anyone ever had this problem before, and if so, did you contact Lenovo to get something done about it? What did they do for you?
I absolutely don't want to have the computer repaired. It's brand spanking new and I don't want some tech ripping my new computer open to replace the bottom. I didn't order that option. New is as New does. I want new. That pretty much leaves me with one option, get a replacement computer.
Funny thing, no Dell I ever owned wobbled when I typed. And my old Macbook is solid as a brick. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, I've never had a computer with a warped anything. I love Thinkpads. Have heard so much about their renowned quality of build, but of course, the first one I order floats like a drunken sailor on the table top. Just my luck.
Any tips or opinions on my next course of action would be greatly appreciated. This is new territory for me with Lenovo.

sorry to hear about your 'bad luck' ...yips seen 'a few' like that - and YES STILL SUPRISES ME
(after going thru everyone of nearly 1000+ laptops this year and RETURNING 120+ of them) we have decided to SPLIT and MOVE to TWO COMPANY SUPPLY. I would suggest few things - that would make it EASIER FOR FULL REFUND and OR RELACEMENT.
_Docoment these issues well and email the CUSTOMER SERVCE ( ask for manager) in India
_WRITE EMAILS (for records also) and ask for REFUND and or REPLACEMENT (whichever you prefer)
_NEW is AS NEW IS!! ( i dont would never accept dopt repair as 'new' again! WE DONT expect to see 3 tires working in a NEW NEW CAR !! tis simple concept - just something that I feel Lenovo staff seems not to understand !
TP still remains the most preferred by users but seems more and more EXEC's want NON LENOVO items. but we moved to SONY+ ASUS for some of the 'more fancy' users = they seems to like the NAME and some features on these bands - but they often cry when they break down and have to call some crazy country they in for tech support and not even get normal ENGRISH!! (sorry no disrespect - but for anyone who has travelled and you want to get 'world-wide tech support and person @the other end dont even have basic english - love to see how patient pple can be at that time)
